Le linn mo shaol, Tá mé imithe tríd séasúir nuair Tá mé ag spreagtha i ndáiríre a bheith ag obair amach. Nuair a bhí mé i scoil ard a bhí mé díreach tar éis a bheith buff go leor do chailíní luí (theip mé). Sna míonna roimh mo bainise bhí mé ag iarraidh a bheith ag obair ar mo chorp trá mhí na meala. Na laethanta seo, Tá mé ag iarraidh a dhéanamh cinnte go bhfuil mé i mo chónaí anuas mo fichidí. Mo inspreagadh tar éis athrú thar na blianta, ach cad nach bhfuil athrú é an chaoi fickle iad siúd spreagadh.
B'fhéidir go bhfuil tú go nádúrtha spreagtha a bheith ag obair amach-shout amach le mo chairde a iar pics agus físeáin ar a regimen oiliúna gach lá. Ach má tá tú cosúil liomsa, do inspreagadh dul suas agus síos mar a kid ar trampoline. Cad a tharlaíonn má na torthaí ó do chuid oibre mhair amach go deo, cé? Ar mhaith leat a bheith níos spreagtha?
Pays Obair Hard Off
Le linn na Cluichí Oilimpeacha an Gheimhridh an mhí seo caite bhí mé i awe mar a bhfaca mé bobsledders tapaidh tintreach agus snowboarders highflying. Chuaigh mé ag a bhfeabhas Lúthchleas Gael, ach bhí mé fiú níos tógtha nuair a shíl mé mar gheall ar an oiliúint disciplínithe caithfidh sé a bheith déanta a fháil ann.
Ag deireadh gach imeacht nuair a bhí na lúthchleasaithe victorious ar podiums an bhuaiteora, le smiles ar a n-aghaidh agus boinn resting ar a n-chests, bhí siad ag reaping na buntáistí a bhaineann le n-oiliúint. Ach de réir an Bhíobla, níl chineál níos fearr oiliúna-ní toisc go bhfuil oiliúint choirp worthless, ach mar tá sé teoranta.
Má tá tú wondered riamh cad a cheapann Dia faoi do workouts, anseo an freagra: Creideann sé go bhfuil sé tairbhiúil, ach teoranta, luach. Mar sin, cé go bhfuil tú ag rith, druileanna a dhéanamh, agus meáchain a ardú, eile ar an eolas go bhfuil sé gur rud maith a dhéanamh. Coimeád do chorp i gcruth maith le moladh-fiú ciallmhar-ach tá sé ag dul ach a fháil duit go dtí seo.
Is é seo a dúirt an Apostle Paul go Timothy:
"Ach bhfuil aon bhaint acu le miotais easurramach agus amaideach. Ina ionad sin, traein féin i godliness, chun oiliúint an chomhlachta a bhfuil sochar teoranta, ach tá godliness tairbheach i ngach slí, ós rud é tá sé gealltanas don saol i láthair agus don saol atá le teacht." (1 Timothy 4:7-8)
D'fhéadfadh muid a suim suas smaointe Pól maidir oibriú amach mar seo: Tá oiliúint Fhisiciúil maith, ach tá oiliúint spioradálta níos fearr. Agus sin toisc go bhfuil neart coirp sealadach, cé go bhfuil godliness síoraí. Nuair a labhraíonn Pól faoi "oiliúint le haghaidh godliness" Sílim ciallaíonn sé ag déanamh na rudaí a dhéanann tú níos láidre spioradálta. Ciallaíonn sé i mbun na ngníomhaíochtaí a dhéanann tú níos godly. B'fhéidir ardú é ár Bíobla fiú níos lú inmhianaithe ná ardú ar mheáchan, ach neglecting é ciallaíonn chailleann muid amach ar níos mó ná dea-shláinte.
Deo Is Níos fearr ná A Moment
Tá a fhios againn go léir go nuair a mhaireann rud éigin níos faide tá sé níos inmhianaithe. Ceannaíonn aon duine carr a fhios agam go mbainfidh sé a bhriseadh síos ar an mhí ina dhiaidh sin. Ba mhaith linn a cheannach in áit rud a mhaireann ar feadh tamaill, mar beidh orainn a fháil níos mó as an infheistíocht. Ach má táimid ríomh amhlaidh le cinntí faoi gluaisteáin, cé mhéad níos mó a ríomh cheart dúinn a bheith mar gheall ar ár anamacha?
Cé chomh minic a cheapann tú faoi do eternity? Is í an fhírinne, ba chóir dúinn smaoineamh air níos mó ná a dhéanaimid. Níl aon cheist go mbeidh gach duine againn beo go deo; tá an cheist cad a bheidh go deo a bheith cosúil. Mar sin, ba chóir dúinn infheistíocht a dhéanamh anois, a fhios agam go ní bheidh na hiarmhairtí deireadh.
Ba cheart go tionchar an méid díriú dúinn ar ó lá go lá. Tá Spóirt maith, ach ní bhíonn siad gach rud. D'fhéadfadh do neart coirp a fhaigheann tú isteach gcoláiste, ach ní bheidh sé a gheobhaidh tú isteach ar neamh. Ba chóir duit cúram a ghlacadh maith de do chorp a ghlacadh, ach ní mór dúinn rud éigin weightier chun cúram. Cé chomh sláintiúil do Soul?
Conas a Traenach
Dia ar ár gcumas a thógáil "muscle spioradálta" nuair a lig muid ag dul ar pheaca agus grab a shealbhú de Íosa. Agus ansin cuireann sé ar ár gcumas an seomra aclaíochta. Sé a thabhairt dúinn chaoin a chuid focal, a mhuintir, agus fiú a chluas. Sin a ligean le léamh, comhaltacht, agus guí. Lúthchleasaithe traein crua mar is mian leo a bheith ullamh le haghaidh an cluiche nó cluiche rompu. Tá siad ag iarraidh a bheith in ann dul in iomaíocht ag leibhéal ard.
Beidh gach duine againn aghaidh a thabhairt tástálacha spioradálta, trialacha, agus cathanna lá go lá. Ullmhaítear agat? Ní coasting obair do lúthchleasaithe agus ní bheidh sé ag obair le haghaidh Críostaithe. Níl an léamh Bíobla Na bliana seo caite go leor chun a chothú tú i mbliana. Beidh muid ach é a dhéanamh tríd an maratón ag grásta Dé, ach ullmhaíonn sé linn le haghaidh an rás trínár fheidhmiú spioradálta.
Tá sé cabhrach do dom a mheabhrú go cé go bhfuil na buntáistí a bhaineann le oiliúint choirp teoranta, Is iad na buntáistí a bhaineann le hoiliúint spioradálta gan teorainn. Ar na laethanta nuair nach dóigh liom gur mhaith guí nó a léamh Word Dé, Is féidir liom i gcuimhne dom féin go bhfuil an sochar beag nó sealadacha. Ní bheidh sé ach cuidiú liom an tseachtain seo chugainn, beidh sé cabhrú liom sa saol seo chugainn. Sin uile an spreagadh is gá dom.
This truly blessed me…!!!Thank YOU!!& Dia Bless tú….thank you for allowing the lord to use you.
Thanks for this good word, turas.
Trip thank you for this. For the past week I’ve been fearing death. I don’t know why but I do. I really needed to be reminded that heaven is the best thing ever and this earth won’t get me anything.
This is awesome! Thanks fam! You a beast!
Thanks for this bit of encouragement! It is easy for some of us to become obsessed with eating healthy and exercising. But do you spend more time planning your meals and at the gym, than in times of prayer and study of the Word? It’s easy to have your priorities messed up, even on the mission field.
Blessings in Christ to all!
Aontaím. The spiritual fitness/exercise is FAR more important than any physical fitness/exercise, but I ALSO believe that both can be done at the same time as well. I know there is a fine line between working out for yourself and working out for God, but there is a difference (believe it or not). Working out for God, physically, includes the spiritual element. Mar shampla, when you have a workout partner, you two talk periodically when you workout together. Imagine if, when you two talk, it isn’t about a pump, your muscles, srl. Ina áit sin, when you talk, speak from your heart, and have fellowship with one another in Christ. The physical working out may be a common interest for those in the gym, but if you add the spiritual aspect, your fitness with go to an unearthly level (right where we are supposed to be), spreading the love of Christ. Colosaigh 3:17
It amazes me how The Lord speaks in so many different ways. I was wrestling with the thought of “I should work out today” but was feeling like I fail at this area over and over again and somewhat feel it can be wasted time if it’s not something continuous in my life. Reading this blog was a reminder from God that He>I and when I focus on Him and train spiritually, I feel so much better and trust that it’s not time wasted. I think staying healthy is important but I know that digging into His word and seeking him is well worth every second of our life. Time with God is never wasted. Thanks for being obedient to what Christ has called you to share. gá mé seo. God bless You and your family Trip!
Cinnte, every single second is worth it. Glad you could be encouraged!
Good stuff bro
hug turas, ummm thats deeply motivating byitself
Man this is awesome stuff, I love what you stand for. I love learning from your teachings in your music and now your book “An Good Life”.
THANK YOU!
Glad you could be encouraged. And I hope the book can be helpful for you in many ways!
Bhí sé seo uamhnach. The two things I hope to gain and retain this year and yet I struggle with the one that is far more important than the other. Turas Go raibh maith agat, your timely blogs have been very inspiring, and they constantly point me back to Superstar.
Bro this is what I needed. I’ve been struggling and fighting with the spirit for the last couple of days. Just forgot to pray, read my bible, and even go to church. This is a wake up call. From now on I’m a changed man in Christ. I even thought God will n longer listen to me because of my ungodly life. Jesus died on the cross for me and I know I’m always welcome in his presence and he is just and faithful to forgive me from my sins.
Bro I thank God for your life and the great work he he’s doing through you. God bless you for accepting his works.
Stay blessed my brother.
Point well taken! Go raibh maith agat! =o)

o'n. Thank you for sending this message. We all need it. moladh Dia.
God bless you for this.. I pray you find motivation and encouragement in yur time of need… o'n
Good Stuff. Great verse.
Thanks for your faithfulness to The Lord trip. I think you need to write a second book.
I think this is very relevant in our culture today. How often do you see people at the gym for hours? turas, I work at the YMCA and I see the same people day in and day out for at least an hour of working out, but generally more than that. And it gets you thinking, there’s probably a lot of Christians that come into my Y (We’re the largest in Indiana), so how many of them are spending 1-2 hours a day engaging themselves in spiritual activity? This is relevant to me because it’s the call out I needed to get back in shape physically and spiritually. Thank you brother.
Dia,
Logan Long
o'n, thanks for the reminder!
This is a word on time! Dia!
Hey,
This is a word-for-a-season. In a culture there are so many social pressures to look good and for guys to be fit and ‘buff’, we can get so caught up in what we think we should be like, in what others tell us we need to look like.
Saying that God thinks that workouts have limited value is spot on, compared to the eternity we can spend with God.
This reminds me of David’s story when he is anointed king by Samuel 1 Samuel 16). God says in verse 7, “People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Bless you,
Josh
Really encouraging Trip! Anything that gets me closer to God truly brings me happiness and strengthen me! So thank you man. I really appreciate you. I’ll keep praying for you :)
Trip I am big into working out, but I have to remind myself to read this post every once in a while. Helps keep me focused on what really matters
Wow as a fellow blogger I love the content of this. I am a workout buff but it comes easier than sometimes finding the time to pick up my Word daily. I then wonder why I don’t stand up to trials like I should. Awesome reminder. Turas Go raibh maith agat
This is really encouraging and it has been something that’s been on my mind. I don’t read my Bible everyday, in fact, I could go for 2 nó 3 days without getting in touch with God’s Word…but now I know that I’m denying myself eternal benefits. It means so much to me that what I read today will help me next week or next month. I can’t rely on what I did last year, or last week…I’m working out for my eternity!!
Godliness has value for ALL THINGS holding promise for both the present life and the life to come!
Go raibh maith agat Turas Lee, for letting God work through you…Imma read the Word more! :)
Love this post! I love exercise & I love God but I know that my spiritual fitness is my priority.
<3
that was awesome message Trip, I have always wondered whether working out is wrong or not or simply unnecessary. Your analysis clears the air on that one. Thanx, keep BRAGING BRO!!
